The right amount of twists and turns in this piece. Character development is intriguing. Once drawn into the story, I was kept guessing until almost the end. Just enough political and philosophical to be provocative. Bravo.

I look forward to reading more of this author’s work.

"Cordair spins an intriguing tale with a small cast of well-drawn and believable characters. And he manages to make an interesting and timely political point in the context of a police investigation and a love story." -The Objective Standard

“Now that was fun! I've enjoyed Quent Cordair's previous work, but this one really jumps to a whole new level. Excellent short work of fiction. It's a short story, so any kind of summary is a spoiler, so I'll just say that I did not expect the direction it took and the fascinating way he took us there. Really beautifully done.

Considering the author's home base, if this story were a glass of wine, I'd say that it had an excellent bouquet, some surprising accents, and a long, satisfying finish that lingers pleasantly afterwards. Quite drinkable right now, with good aging potential.

I'm looking forward to his next effort. This was well worth the time.” - Alan Nitikman
